How Does the Student Car Shipping Discount Work?
Eligible students, faculty and staff receive 25% off the Star Auto Shipping service charge for a qualifying vehicle shipment. For example, if our service charge is $100, the discount is $25. The carrier's transportation charge is separate and is not reduced by this offer.
Your quote should clearly identify the transportation charge, Star Auto Shipping's service charge and the student car shipping discount before you book. Vehicle shipping prices still depend on the route, vehicle, transport type, timing, pickup and delivery access, and current carrier availability.

Who Is Eligible for the Student and University Employee Car Shipping Discount?
The program is available to currently enrolled students and current faculty and staff at accredited U.S. colleges and universities.

After you request a quote, your assigned Star Auto Shipping representative will provide their company email address. Send the verification document to that representative's @starautoshipping.com email address from your college or university .edu email account. Currently enrolled students should send current proof of enrollment. Faculty and staff should send current proof of employment or a current university ID. You may redact student, employee and other sensitive identification numbers, but your name, institution and current status must remain visible. Verification must be completed before booking.
If a parent or guardian is arranging transport for a student, the eligible student must send the verification email from the student's own .edu address and include the name of the person booking the shipment.
Only the assigned Star Auto Shipping representative handling the shipment may access the verification email and attachment. The verification email and any attached document will be deleted after the vehicle is delivered.

As a planning guideline, long-distance transport may progress roughly 400 to 500 miles per day after pickup. This is not a delivery guarantee. Actual timing can change because of the route, traffic, weather, carrier scheduling, inspections and other transport conditions.
Students and families should request a quote at least one week before the preferred vehicle pickup date.
